The source for all my audio and video musings on the music I love.

The final entry in my top albums of 2022 comes in swinging for the fences. This week we discuss my favorite post-metal albums of the year. And, being totally honest, these are probably, overall, my favorite albums of the year. There is just so much going on here that it is impressive, emotive, and super heavy. These are the albums that, really, most blew me away. Death metal might have had more entries, but these are the ones that really dominated my listening time.
Time for the next batch of stellar albums from 2022, and this time everything is centered on death. Death metal that is. While not my favorite genre of metal, for some reason, this past year, death metal really made a strong showing. Now, not everything on this list is death metal, but all of them are sufficiently death adjacent that they fit in here. So, take a few minutes to check out some albums from last year you really need to check out.
